Disease Resistance
Introduced by breeder Ken Estes in San Francisco in 2003, GDP is a cross of Purple Urkle and Big Bud that became California's most iconic purple indica. It consistently expresses deep violet coloring from anthocyanin pigments in cool temperatures and produces large, frost-covered buds with a sweet grape-and-berry aroma. The high is intensely physical and sedating; it set the visual and aromatic template for California indica breeding for a decade.
