The original Haze was developed in Santa Cruz, California in the late 1960s by the Haze Brothers through complex crosses of Colombian Gold, Mexican, Thai, and South Indian sativa landraces. It defined the archetype for cerebral, psychedelic sativa effects with a complex earthy-citrus aroma. Despite a 14+ week flowering time, its unmatched mental clarity and flavor complexity drove breeders worldwide to incorporate it, spawning Super Silver Haze, Jack Herer, Amnesia Haze, and dozens more.
